Here is important information you need to know as you make your donations (or purchase event tickets) to Islamic Circle of North America.
Islamic Circle of North America (“ICNA”), established in 1968, is dedicated to education, outreach, social services and relief efforts. Its headquarters are located at 166-26 89th Ave., Queens, NY 11432. ICNA, Tax ID No. 11-2925751, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization eligible to receive tax deductible donations.
It may take anywhere from 1-5 business days before charges appear on your credit card or bank statement. This may vary per Credit Card Company or bank.
Each donation to ICNA is tax deductible as and to the extent allowed under applicable law, and represents a contribution to its mission of serving community needs of education, outreach and social services, paying no heed to gender, race or creed.
You may contact ICNA at (718) 658-1199 for more information.
A portion of your donation will go toward administrative costs.
The default option for donation payment is a one-time transaction. One-time donations will only be processed as authorized for that specific transaction, per the given day.
In cases where recurring direct debit (available for U.S. banks only) or monthly credit giving options are available, you will be given the choice to select your preferred method of giving. By selecting recurring donation options, you authorize ICNA to automatically transfer your gift each month from the account you provide—the transaction will appear on your checking account or credit card statement. The monthly charge date shall be the date in which the donation was initially submitted. If the monthly charge date needs to be changed, you may submit a request at https://www.icna.org/contact-us or call (718) 658-1199 and request for the monthly date to be changed.
The financial institution you identify on the donation form is authorized to debit or charge your donation to the account indicated. This authority will remain in effect until you have given ICNA at least 10 days’ notice that this authorization has been terminated. Please understand that you must give advance notice to allow reasonable time for your instructions to be executed. If ever an incorrect amount should be entered into your account, you authorize your financial institution to make the appropriate adjustment on your behalf.
You can also increase, decrease or suspend your gift by calling (718) 658-1199 or by submitting a request at https://www.icna.org/contact-us.
IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING CREDIT CARD DONATIONS FOR ZAKAH: Please consider adding 2% when using Visa and Mastercard, and 2.5% when using American Express to your total Zakah donation—this will compensate for any transaction fees deducted from your donation by the credit card companies, and will ensure that your intended Zakah amount is paid in full.
For your convenience, ICNA offers additional way to donate: To donate by mail, make your check payable to ICNA, and send it to: 166-26 89th Ave., Queens, NY 11432.
If you have made an error in making your donation to ICNA, we will honor your request for a refund made within 30 days of your donation. Refunds for tickets purchased for any of the ICNA events (administered by ICNA Headquarters – example Annual Convention) are available prior to the event date. By purchasing your tickets, you agree that ICNA is not obliged to process a refund after the event date.
To request a refund, call (718) 658-1199. Refunds are issued using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card. If you made your donation through direct debit of your checking/savings account, check, or cash, your refund will be issued by check and sent to you via the United States Postal Service.
