ICNA appalled at Trump's presidential campaign ad

-—FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE—-

NEW YORK, NY (January 5, 2016) – Islamic Circle of North America is appalled by Donald Trump’s presidential campaign ad released today. Trump’s racist, bigoted politics of division will separate Americans rather than focusing on the immense challenges facing our nation.

Muslim Americans are as deeply rooted in the United States as any other religious faith, and have been an integral part of our society.
We would like to quote President Barack Obama’s statement made last month in response to Trump’s position- “Muslim Americans are our friends and our neighbors, our co-workers, our sports heroes — and, yes, they are our men and women in uniform who are willing to die in defense of our country. Muslims are living in the US for centuries. Muslims are not the others or foreigners, but they are Americans”.
ICNA reiterates its commitment to working with its Muslim and interfaith partners under the campaign “One America” announced by the United States Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO), a coalition of national and regional Muslim organizations.

The Islamic Circle of North America is a leading American Muslim organization dedicated to the betterment of society through the application of Islamic values. Since 1968, ICNA has worked to build relations between communities by devoting itself to education, outreach, social services and relief efforts.

First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah

First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah

The inclusion of poor in our festivity must be done without which we cannot complete our service to Allah SWT. How many societies the poor is left out of the pie and the rich eats the entire pie. A few weeks ago, we celebrated Eid-ul Fitr. And on that Eid, we enjoy its virtues by giving the Zakaat-ul Fitr to the poor before we begin the Eid prayer. This Eid we have to complete its celebration by giving 1/3 of the meat to the poor and needy. As Allah SWT says: Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time.
