ICNA alarmed at the current wave of violence in Palestine

NEW YORK, NY (October 19, 2015) – The Islamic Circle of North America expresses alarm at the current rise of violence and the brutality of Israeli forces in Palestine. We condemn the killing of innocent people on both sides and especially the excessive use of force and killing of Palestinian children by the Israeli military and police.

“ICNA also condemns the overall policy of occupation of Palestinian lands for the past 67 years and denying their fundamental rights including the right to live without the fear of occupying forces. This is the real cause of frequent flare ups in the region.
“The brutality of occupation must stop and our government must send a clear message to the Israeli government by stopping the billions of aid to the Israeli military.
And who are more unjust than those who prevent the name of Allah from being mentioned in His mosques and strive toward their destruction. It is not for them to enter them except in fear. For them in this world is disgrace, and they will have in the Hereafter a great punishment. Quran (2:114)

First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah

The inclusion of poor in our festivity must be done without which we cannot complete our service to Allah SWT. How many societies the poor is left out of the pie and the rich eats the entire pie. A few weeks ago, we celebrated Eid-ul Fitr. And on that Eid, we enjoy its virtues by giving the Zakaat-ul Fitr to the poor before we begin the Eid prayer. This Eid we have to complete its celebration by giving 1/3 of the meat to the poor and needy. As Allah SWT says: Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time.
