ICNA hosted a meeting of national American Muslim organizations with the Sudanese Finance Minister Ali Mahmoud M. Abdelrasoul.
The meeting that took place at the ICNA Center in Alexandria, Virginia provided an open forum for the American Muslim leadership to discuss the peace treaty between the North and South Sudan and the conflict in Darfur.
The meeting was attended by Maggie Siddiqi, Program Coordinator at the Office for Interfaith and Community Alliances, Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Nihad Awad, Executive Director of the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Abed Ayoub, CEO of Islamic Relief, Imam Magid, President of ISNA, Sayyid Syeed, ISNA Office for Interfaith and Community Alliances, Haris Tarin from MPAC, Giancarlo Gonzalez from CAIR, Chairman of ICNA Shariah Council Shaykh Abdool Rahman Khan, Talib Shareef, and Rafiah Jones.
