(DENVER, CO. May 7, 2015) – Although a relatively new addition to the Islamic Circle of North America, the Colorado Chapter hosted an incredibly successful da’wah booth at the Cinco de Mayo festival this past weekend at Denver’s Civic Center Park.
The booth was staffed by six ICNA volunteers who distributed thousands of books, brochures, and informational pamphlets about Islam to the attendees. Additionally, two individuals accepted Islam over the course of the weekend.
“We had a very successful event,” said Frank Vanbaelinghem, the booth coordinator. “I enjoy giving da’wah, so this was a great experience to participate in.”
ICNA Colorado, established a little over a year ago, has quickly established its outreach and social service efforts and hopes to exert a positive impact in the surrounding community.
