ATLANTA – A billboard on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard is raising a few eyebrows. The sign, located just before Interstate 285 reads “Find Jesus in the Quran.”
The non-profit organization Why Islam has been posting similar billboards across the country for more than a dozen years. The one on Peachtree Industrial Blvd. is the third in Georgia and the only one standing right now. About 60 others are posted nationwide.
The spokesperson for Why Islam said that the local Muslim community requested the billboard, which is funded by donations, to “help clarify what Islam is really all about.”
The group encourages people to call a hotline to get answers or a free copy of the Quran.
