(Lexington, KY) The Muslim Community of Morehead, Kentucky in conjunction with Morehead State University held a panel discussion titled “Islam, Cartoons, and Free Speech” on April 20th, 2006.  The panelist included two faculty members from the University and two representatives from the Muslim community. Mohammad Siddiqui, Islamic Circle of North America's North Central Regional President presented facts about the life of Prophet Muhammad pbuh. The central theme of this discussion was Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and response to cartoons by Muslims around the World.  The panelist agreed that freedom of speech comes with responsibility and that we need to develop a world which encourages understanding and respect for each other.  There were approximately fifty people, mostly students and faculty who attended the program and all received a copy of Quran (translation) and special issue of the message magazine, Who is Muhammad?
