NEW YORK, NY (April 9, 2017) – The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), condemns the bombings in Egypt of two Coptic Christian Churches that killed at least 44 people as reprehensible. The attacks came during the services of the Coptic holiday of Palm Sunday.

The attacks that were claimed by the terror group ISIS, goes against all that Islamic injunctions including establishing the safety and security of religious minorities in Muslim majority communities.
ICNA offers its deepest sympathies to the victims of these dastardly attacks and the people of Egypt.
ICNA also calls on the Egyptian authorities to conduct immediate and transparent investigation of the incidents and work to bring security and justice to the religious minorities in Egypt.
