ICNA Condemns Terror Attack at Quebec City Mosque

NEW YORK, NY (January 28, 2017) – The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) condemns the terror attack at a mosque in Québec City today that reportedly killed five people and injured several.
ICNA extends its deepest condolences to the families of those killed and prays for the speedy recovery of the injured at the Quebec City Islamic Cultural Center.
According to news media, witnesses said the shooting was carried out by three attackers during evening prayers at about 8:00 pm today.
ICNA also calls for quick apprehension of the culprits and appeals to Muslim leadership in Canada and the United States to take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of its communities and institutions.
