Eid Mubarak! Message from ICNA President

Eid Mubarak! Message from ICNA President

Aug 7, 2013

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,

Dear brothers and sisters,

The blessed month of Ramadan is coming to an end. Let us pray that Allah (swt) accepts our deeds in this month, and wish you all an Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak on behalf of the Islamic Circle of North America!

Please remember to pay Sadaqatul Fitr before the day of Eid. This way our needy brothers and sisters would be able to enjoy the Eid with their family and children. You can make your Fitrah donation of $10.00/person in the family at ICNA Relief here.
I write to you to ask for your continuous support of ICNA’s work by donating here. We need your support to continue our many projects that teach the public about Islam and counter the seeds of hate and bigotry being sown around us. I urge you in the final moments of this month to support ICNA and make a donation today.
Finally, as we prepare to end this month, remember to pray for the people of Syria and Burma and all those facing Islamophobia around the world. As we prepare to end this month, we must remember their suffering and ask Allah (swt) to ease their pain. Ameen.
Your brother in Islam,
Naeem Baig
President

First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah

First Ten Days of Dhul Hijjah

The inclusion of poor in our festivity must be done without which we cannot complete our service to Allah SWT. How many societies the poor is left out of the pie and the rich eats the entire pie. A few weeks ago, we celebrated Eid-ul Fitr. And on that Eid, we enjoy its virtues by giving the Zakaat-ul Fitr to the poor before we begin the Eid prayer. This Eid we have to complete its celebration by giving 1/3 of the meat to the poor and needy. As Allah SWT says: Then eat thereof and feed therewith the poor who have a very hard time. (22:28) EID MUBAARAK!
