The meeting, which was convened by the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and Catholic representatives of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops&amp;rsquo; (USCCB) Committee on Ecumenical and Interreligious Affairs, explored teaching about different religions in private and public institutions. On Saturday a cyclone with winds up to 120 MPH ripped through the country Myanmar (also known as Burma). The Death toll has reached 22,500 with another 41,000 missing.

			<title>U.S. House Passes Historic Ramadan Resolution</title>

			<description>Washington &amp;ndash; A resolution recognizing the Muslim holy month of
Ramadan and expressing the  deepest respect to Muslims in the United
States and throughout the world  was adopted in the U.S. House of
Representatives October 2 by a vote of 376-0.


The resolution
acknowledging the importance of Muslims in America, the first of its
kind, was introduced by Texas Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson and
co-sponsored by 30 legislators, including Representative Keith Ellison
of Minnesota.  Ellison is the first Muslim to be elected to the U.S.
