"Islamic charities across the country say they are capable of handling contributions appropriately. "I can confidently say that Almighty God is watching our organization," said Naeem Baig, spokesman for the Islamic Circle of North America. "Our organization is open." The non-profit organization based in Jamaica, N.Y., wants to raise $10 million and is in touch with relief organizations across Pakistan. Baig said informal networks have contributed to traffic jams and clogged roads, hampering relief efforts in Pakistan."
