March 3, 2012 – Various conservative pundits, analysts and bloggers have identified Shariah, or Islamic religious law, as a growing threat to the United States. Shariah Law is something, which to many, carries negative connotations. The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) aims to provide an insight to help people understand what Shariah means.

The ICNA has launched the campaign named ‘Defending Religious Freedom, Understanding Shariah’ to educate fellow American citizens about what the meaning of Shariah means and what it entails through conferences, billboards, and TV and radio PSAs. The organisation has also launched a national hotline to answer questions about Shariah and Islam.
The campaign is not to establish Shariah Law in the U.S., but to correct misconceptions about it.
Established in 1968, the ICNA was a response to the growing need for a supportive Muslim community in North America. The organisation initially focused on educating its growing membership about Islam, the goal being to adhere to Islamic values still being amongst a religiously diverse community.
It has also worked closely with many national interfaith organisations for the betterment of society in the U.S. and by focusing on self-development, education, outreach and social services, ICNA has cemented its place as a leading organisation within the American Muslim community.

  1. You come to my country and tell us we need to change our laws to suite you is “bull shit!” If you don`t like our laws then you should have stayed where every you come from because you are not welcome here anyway. After Nov you better craw back under your rock, you see we don`t like “cults” and that all you are “a cults” I think we need the KKK back to get rid of “ALL MUSLIM” to make this country right. The muslim should have to pay for 9-11, we have not forgotten it, and never will! LIVE BY “OUR LAW” OR GET OUT!

It is a shame that along with self-development, education, outreach and social services, you did not include peaceful relations with your non-Muslim neighbors. Is this not the then-President Zulfiqar Ali Shah of the ICNA leading a chant of "Our way, our way; jihad, jihad"?

So we now know what type of self-development you encourage: jihad. We know what kind of education you give: terrorism. We know what kind of social services you wish to provide: death and destruction.
Return to the hole from whence you slithered – we don't need your kind of "help" in America.

  3. Hey Virgil, I’m not sure I agree with the KKK part. I’ve known a few and they’re just a bunch of clowns. However I agree completely with the spirit of your message. This is nothing but Nazi propaganda. It’s like everything else the Muslim Brotherhood has been connected with. Convince you with their lies then chop your head off once you’re in their power. Something like that anyway. Three books that will explain things better than I can. “The Haj” by Leon Uris “Because They Hate” by Brigitte Gabriel and “Muslim Mafia” by Gabautz and Sperry. MM exposes the lie that is CAIR or the Council on American Islamic Relations. The Haj will set you straight when it comes to the bullshit that is the Palestinian so-called Right of Return.

  4. Oh yeah, Check out the website Jihad Watch and read Raymond Abrahim and others. Get educated to the fact that the ICNA is the gestapo of Islam.

  5. Just watched their propaganda video. This is so wrong on so many levels. The only muslim that stood for equal rights was Mamoud mahamed Taha and they hung him. ICNA hates everything this guy stood for. Read their own books for Christs sake; the Sahih al-Bukhari and the Reliance of the Traveller. These books and every word in them is taught in every mosque in the US. Ask these guys if they think Hamas is a terrorist organization. Better yet ask them what they “don’t” go along with in “Traveller” and “Bukhari” see what kind of answers you get. You don’t get straight answers from Muslims. Their own books are a friggin mess. Whay doesn’t the full version and the summarized Bukhari jive? Make a reference to one, you can’t find it in the other. Site the Bible and you know right where to go. Why? Try the words reliable and credibility.

  6. Virgil i think that comment about the KKK is a little much as well as the comment about them all going back to where they came from because of some peoples mistakes does not mean all should be blamed. I am a white american female and does this mean that all the white leaders who have corrupted our nation should do the same? No because everyone is their own person and that is extremely narrow minded of you. Though the sharia law has many customs that im sure most americans do not agree with does not mean that it does not have a relivance in their lives. Everyone is raised differently and everyone learns what they are taught. wether or not they chose to go out and explore furthur for more truth is thier perogative. Who are any of us to judge muslims, jews, cristians, or anyone else?
