On March 15, GainPeace hosted a dinner attended by 650 individuals at Ashton Place in Willowbrook, Illinois, to support its various da’wah projects. GainPeace is an outreach program within the Islamic Circle of North America whose primary mission is to share the beauty of Islam with fellow Americans.

Imam Feisal opened the banquet with a beautiful recitation from the Qur’an.

The president of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago, Dr. Kaiseruddin, presented a reminder regarding the importance of da’wah. He also provided an update on the tragic humanitarian situation in Syria and requested all those present to pray a special supplication for those suffering in Syria and around the world.
Parallel to the dinner, ICNA Sister’s Wing and the Muslim Children of North America organized a program for children between the ages of four and 12. The 50 children engaged in entertaining educational activities led by professional education personnel from Mad Science.
Dr. Sabeel Ahmed, director of GainPeace, presented the project’s highlights and narrated stories of the project’s outreach efforts through billboards, buses, coupon mailers, da’wah booths and street da’wah.

Imam Ousmane Drame, the Imam of Masjid Farooq, spoke about the need to erase prevalent misconceptions of Islam and he urged the financial support of projects such as GainPeace.

The program concluded with an eloquent note of thanks and supplication by Salim Sharif.
