Countering Islamophobia – TV Ads on Comcast
There is no doubt that Islamophobia is at its peak in US. More than ever there is a need to counter the Islam smearing campaign launched by the conservative right. ICNA Bay Area partnered with USA network as part of NBC Universal media group for a month long campaign to promote religious tolerance in US.
TV commercials featuring CharactersUnite.com and WhyIslam.org were broadcast for 2 weeks in April 11, 2011. 130 Ads appeared on A&E, AMC, Animal Planet, CNN, Planet Green, Hallmark, History, Headlines Network, MSNBC, National Geographic, Oprah Winfrey Network, Travel Channel, The Weather Channel, and USA Network.

Too bad there are no ads like these for Jews and Christians in Saudi Arabia or Iran. How many churches and synagoges in Ryadh??? Islam is a cancer growing in our midst, a worldwide military/political movement to destroy freedom and kill/enslave its enemies (us). If that makes me an islamophobe, i wear it proudly.

“American Muslims are victimized every day because of misinformation about their religion.” But is that really true? When Muslim countries call “blasphemy” and death for anyone not practising Islam, how are we to come to any other conclusion than Muslims would do the same here in the United States of America if they weren’t in the minority? Are American Muslims different? If so, say so.
