Convention 2012: Sharing My Personal Observations

Memorial Day weekend was the weekend of the ICNA-MAS Convention. The convention brought together about 16,000 Muslims in the Hartford, CT area—an area that, if it weren’t for the convention, would be dead. Muslims came from all over the country—some from Ohio, Boston, Chicago, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and as far as California.

A Fun Experience For The Whole Family

Take a look around you—in front of you, behind you, to your left and to your right. All you see is a sea of people. They’re all doing the same thing as you. This is the feeling you get when you’re at the ICNA Convention, especially during prayer (although we shouldn’t be looking around in prayer!) You are surrounded by thousands of fellow Muslims that are all there for the same reason as you are, to gain more knowledge on Islam and to worship Allah (SWT).
